Feminist Bird Club: Seattle Chapter
WE ARE
An Inclusive Birding Club
That provides a safe opportunity to connect with the natural world while fundraising to protect the rights of BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ folks, and women.
We recognize that as we bird in the Seattle region, we are on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded lands of the Coast Salish people, specifically the first people of Seattle, the Duwamish People past and present. We acknowledge the pivotal placement of these communities in this land's history, and the work they are still doing to honor their heritage.

2025 FEMINIST BIRD CLUB PATCH

Northern Saw-whet Owl
The patch bird this year is arguably the cutest owl in the United States, the Northern Saw-whet Owl - as chosen in our first ever bird-bracket. The illustration for the patch was done by Alex Tomlinson, an illustrator whose work includes many of the amazing infographics in National Audubon Society’s magazine and the new logo for the Chicago Ornithological Society. You can learn more about his work on his website, https://alextomlinson.com/.
