Feminist Bird Club: Seattle Chapter
WE ARE
An Inclusive Birding Club
That provides a safe opportunity to connect with the natural world while fundraising to protect the rights of BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ folks, and women.
We recognize that as we bird in the Seattle region, we are on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded lands of the Coast Salish people, specifically the first people of Seattle, the Duwamish People past and present. We acknowledge the pivotal placement of these communities in this land's history, and the work they are still doing to honor their heritage.

2022 FEMINIST BIRD CLUB PATCH

Female Belted Kingfisher
The illustration for the patch was created by Nayl Gonzalez (@ngonkrz), an illustrator based in Penngrove, California. Nayl is a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo with a BS in Forestry & Natural Resources and minors in Indigenous Studies and Field & Wildlife Biology.
This year, patch sales will provide a donation to Honor the Earth (@honortheearth), a Native-run org that aims to create awareness for and support Native environmental issues as well as provide financial and political resources for the survival of sustainable Native communities.
